Five simple rules of happiness from a 92-year-old woman
What a wonderful story!
By eight o’clock in the morning, the 92-year-old miniature lady is already fully dressed, neatly combed, and makeup is tastefully applied, although she does not see well. A woman is ready to move to a nursing home.

Her husband passed away not so long ago, and she has no other choice. Despite long hours of patient waiting, she only smiled sweetly when she was informed that her room was ready.
On the way to the elevator, they described her tiny room, including what the curtains on the windows look like. “Oh, I will like them,” the woman replied with enthusiasm for the 8-year-old child who had just received the puppy as a gift.
“It doesn’t matter,” she replied. – Happiness is what you decide in advance. Whether I like my new home or not, it depends not on how the furniture is arranged, but on how my mind works. I already decided to love this room. I make such decisions every morning – right after I wake up. I have a choice: I can spend the whole day in bed, remembering about my illnesses and body parts that no longer listen to me, or get out of bed, experiencing joy and gratitude for this day. Every day I perceive it as a real gift, and while I am alive, I concentrate entirely on the current day and on those pleasant memories that I have preserved. ”
And she said: “Old age is like a bank account: you withdraw money that you put on it. Therefore, I advise you to put as many moments of happiness on your bank account as possible. And I still continue to make my contributions.
Then she talked about her 5 simple rules for a happy person:
- Cleanse your heart of malice.
- Clear your mind of worries.
- Try to live as simple as possible.
- Try to give as much as possible.
- Do not expect too much.
